Learning outcomes:
This module will prepare students for professional practice, as well as the methods and services of everyday architectural work. After successfully completing this module, students will be prepared to handle project implementation, contract drafting for project and construction execution with an emphasis on methodology and practical construction examples, awarding, contracting, site supervision, construction operations, safety regulations, building and facility management. In addition, the reality of an architect´s everyday life as an employee or self-employed person will be illustrated - with a focus on contracts, business management, self-employment, profitability, social security and taxes.

Practice and methodology in an architectural firm Organizing office operations, preparing work, scheduling, realization, budgeting, accounting, Practical recommendations for starting a career as a graduate, employed and self-employed architect. Organizing project planning, realization and construction operation Awarding contracts, building contracts, site manager tasks, work preparation / scheduling, implementation, construction process / budgeting, planning, / tendering, award, invoicing / construction, construction site, monitoring, acceptance, rectification of defects, construction site ordinance BauVo / safety and health coordinator SiGeKo- where applicable with information on special areas such as old buildings, renovation, building equipment, statics, fire protection etc. Principles of building and facility management with emphasis on strategic FM, demand planning, sustainability, lifecycle, usage costs. Repairs, building management, management tasks before and after the HOAI phases / inventory, schedule and cost planning systems Course work on cost calculations DIN 276 / fee calculation n.
