The aim of phase 5 of the ATPL(A) integrated course is to develop competencies in multi-crew cooperation. Competency is a combination of knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform a task to the prescribed standard. The objectives of MCC training are to develop the technical and non-technical components of knowledge, skills and attitudes required to operate a multi-pilot airplane
MCC Training
Phase 5 (RWL)
Training comprises both theoretical and practical training and is designed to achieve the following competencies:

- Monitoring and crosschecking
- Task sharing
- Use of checklists
- Briefings
- Flight management
- Use of FMS
- Systems normal operations
- Systems abnormal and emergency operations
- Environment, weather and ATC
Lectures, class exercises, lesson plans, flight preparation, pre-flight briefings, flight lessons, post-flight briefing, self-study according to lesson plans and homework assignments
