Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this submodule, students will: - be familiar with the legal basis for freedom of contract and the requirements for the most important types of contracts - understand the objectives of contract drafting - analyze real sample contracts and develop the technology for drafting contracts - know the most important negotiation techniques and be able to apply them to the objectives of the contract in role-plays - structure the negotiation process and select the negotiation team - be able to evaluate objectives and negotiation outcomes with regard to the agreement reached, as well as the remaining potential for conflict and general principles of legal ethics - Freedom of contract and limitations

- Objectives of contract drafting - Development of party interests, negotiation technique - Preparation of actual contract provisions on the basis of sample contracts - Special features of general terms and conditions - Standard clauses in contracts (e.g. form, severability clause, settlement of disputes) - Creation of checklists for contract content and schedules
