Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will understand the physical, biological and chemical basics of municipal wastewater treatment, especially with regard to calculation methods for the oxidation of carbon and nitrogen compounds in municipal wastewater. Students will understand the fundamental necessity of wastewater treatment for the ecological protection of our environment. They will have basic knowledge of methods for dimensioning municipal wastewater treatment plants and will be able to apply this knowledge, as well as to recognize and evaluate new ideas and concepts.
