Learning outcomes:
_ After successfully completing this module, students will be able to work with the surveying technology used by civil engineers both in theory and in practice. _ This will allow them to implement and apply their knowledge practically. Group exercises will foster their social skills.

Module content:
_ Staking out with a tape measure and ranging rods, batter boards, calculating areas, levelling, use and function of electrooptical tachymeters and GPS systems, Gauss-Krüger coordinates, coordinate calculations, polar coordinates, new points, polygoning, field surveys, polar stake-outs. _ In addition to the lectures, there will be 5 field exercises incl. preparation, evaluation and keeping a field book.
