Learning outcomes:
Based on the theoretical foundations of economic policy and a discussion of central regulatory policy issues, students will deepen the knowledge already gained in the micro- and macroeconomic courses and be able to apply it to selected fields of action in economic policy. This involves learning about the various financial instruments and how they work, as well as the importance of institutional framework conditions. Students will become familiar with the possibilities and limits of economic policy action in the context of economic and socio-political objectives. By discussing current topics, students will have learned to critically reflect upon and present different positions.
