30 class hours (= 22.5 clock hours) over a 15-week period. The total student study time is 90 hours (equivalent to 3 ECTS credits). There are therefore 67.5 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
- Review and consolidate advanced structures and vocabulary of the target language, extending these to cover specifically vocational and business-oriented topics - Develop and deepen advanced skills required to understand and produce written and spoken German as used in general professional contexts.

- Current topics in a profession context - Specialist vocabulary, job-related expressions and grammatical structures - Business phone calls and email correspondence - Corporate culture, professional communication skills and etiquette - Participation in team meetings and other job-related discussions - Giving short presentations on professional topics - Describing and interpreting graphs, charts and tables - Summarizing and reproducing information

Language course with a pragmatic awareness approach. - Lecturer presentations - Individual, group and partner work - Panel and group discussions, role-play situations - Case studies - Short presentations by the students A wide variety of educational resources (print, audios, videos, e-learning) are used while taking account of the particular learning practices of the target group.
