Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will: - have mastered the technical language of economics and tourism in numerous subject areas relevant to them in an appropriate manner - be able to independently research information on aspects of the target language relevant to business and tourism in order to form their own opinions and prepare for group discussions in the target language - be able to challenge interculturally sensitive areas of communication with representatives from the target language countries and verbalize their position on these in a well-founded manner - be able to independently explore more and more situations related to their professional future linguistically - be able to independently explore vocabulary-relevant areas (word fields) of their future life and professional reality - be able to independently prepare presentations in the foreign language and deliver them using adequate communication skills

Exercises for listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing skills (technical language-oriented text reception and production) Specific issues in tourism will be addressed based on other courses offered during the semester Professionally relevant role playing and simulations Creation of subject-related, specialized presentations Review of basic school grammar Functional grammar for business and tourism jargon Improvement and development of standard vocabulary Expansion of general vocabulary and development of technical vocabulary
