Learning outcomes:
Students will be taught the elementary operations that a computer can perform. Students will learn how to structure simple algorithmic problems, develop suitable data structures for solving specific problems, specify the solution in terms of an algorithm and estimate the computational effort associated with a particular solution. The problem-solving sessions are used to teach students the requisite problem-solving techniques.
