Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will be familiar with the basic structure of architectural models and their practical application. They will have in-depth knowledge of Ethernet and IP-based networks and can describe them. After working on their composition, the students will be able to deal independently with new topics and prepare a formally correct composition.

The basics of protocols and networks Architecture models: ISO/OSI model TCP/IP model Ethernet Structure and functionality of the layers Evolution of standards Modulation Techniques: Autonegotiation, Auto-MDIX, PoE, EEE, _ Frame formats Channel access IP IPv4 Protocol, fragmentation, subnetting, routing, ICMP, ARP_ IPv6 Protocol, addressing, NDP, transition mechanisms Advanced network technologies VLAN, STP Composition Topics will be based on the focal points of the lecture.
