Learning outcomes:
Learning outcomes/skills - Music Practice (2 hours per semester week): • After successfully completing this module, students will have insight into preparing and planning music events. • They will be able to contribute to the planning and execution of such events. Learning outcomes/skills - Instrument and Score Studies (2 hours per semester week): After successfully completing this module, students will have learned the basics of how to read scores from 1500 to 1950. They will be able to communicate with professional musicians in the workplace by having mastered the important technical terms from the field of instrument and score studies. They will be familiar with the basic phenomena of acoustics, insofar as this is a prerequisite for understanding the structure and functionality of the most important traditional European musical instruments.

Content - Music Practice: Orchestra office, choir office, ensuite, podium, concert events Content - Instrument and Score Studies: Acoustics, basics of traditional score notation, organology, in-depth study of score reading from a historical perspective.
