Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will be able to assess the security of symmetric, as well as public-key cryptosystems against typical types of attacks. They will be able to configure cryptosystems, understand their implementation and point out possible weaknesses. After a detailed analysis, they will be able to draw up a proposal to increase the security level for a given application scenario.
