Learning outcomes: After successfully completing this module, students will: - be able to describe the problems of information management for management accounting and management, - be able to describe and develop a management reporting or management information system conceptually, - be familiar with different information technology solutions for management information systems, - be familiar with the essential functions of current performance management systems and will be able to apply them to specific software systems, - be able to independently work on current problems in the areas of management accounting and information management, - be able to demonstrate their knowledge in the form of presentations or talks. Module content: - Management and information systems - Conceptual development of management information systems (information model, process model) - Implementation and current applications of management information systems - Implementation of a case study Seminar: - Presentation and discussion of current topics from the fields of management accounting and information technology The course combines lectures, case studies, group and individual work and requires a high degree of student participation.
