Module content:
This lecture series offers exciting and practical insights into the field of organizational pedagogy, something that´s of particular relevance to social work as a counseling-oriented discipline. At the center of the series is the question: Who or what actually shapes counseling in and with organizations? Together with experts from various universities, we will examine current perspectives on the interplay between people, things, structures, and contexts in counseling processes. Topics covered include: • What exactly is a “stakeholder”? – Introduction to key concepts and theories • Individual, collective, and organizational stakeholder in counseling • How do spaces, bodies, materials, and digital technologies interact, and how can we understand this for our work? • Organizations (e.g., universities, networks) as active co-creators in transformation processes • How AI and visual elements can influence counseling processes • Methods for analyzing complex patterns of actions in organizational contexts (e.g., setting analysis) The lecture series thus builds a bridge between theory and practice with many points of contact for the field of social work: whether in case consultation, organizational development, community work, or project work. Didactic concept The lecture series is organized in a hybrid format—flexible and engaging: • In advance (asynchronous): Each week, a new video post is made available online, along with supplementary text material and slides, so you can prepare at your own pace. • Participation (synchronous): In preparation for the session, students will formulate their own ideas or questions to structure and deepen the discussion (10:00-10:30). • Joint exchange (synchronous): On Fridays from 10:30–11:45 a.m. (BigBlueButton), we will discuss the content together—the speakers are connected digitally, and everyone can contribute their own questions.
