Weitere Lehrmethoden und Medien:
• introductory briefings and short theoretical refreshers; • guided familiarisation with the laboratory equipment; • independent group work; • practical experiments on direct current and alternating current circuits; • development-oriented tasks; • measurement-based analysis; • technical discussions with the lecturer; • preparation of a practical report or technical decision document. The laboratory work is designed to strengthen engineering thinking. Students are not expected to merely reproduce predefined experiments. Instead, they are expected to select suitable experiments, justify their relevance, interpret the measured results and use them as evidence for a technical decision. • Practical experiments with Leybold Com3Lab. • Additional material, organisational information, preparation documents and assessment guidelines provided via Moodle.

Sonstige Informationen:
The Electrical Engineering Practical Course introduces students to the practical investigation of fundamental electrical engineering principles. The module combines experimental work with technical analysis, measurement-based reasoning and the evaluation of simple electrical circuits. The redesigned laboratory format places particular emphasis on engineering thinking. Students are expected to understand electrical behaviour, select suitable experiments, measure relevant quantities, compare theoretical expectations with practical results and derive technically justified conclusions. The laboratory is structured around small development-oriented tasks. Students use the available Leybold Com3Lab training boards, real measurement equipment, literature and digital tools to acquire the knowledge required for solving an applied electrical engineering problem. Typical topics include direct current circuits, alternating current circuits, diodes, rectifiers, capacitors, voltage dividers, load behaviour and basic measurement technology. A basic economic perspective is integrated by considering component selection, material costs and scaling effects for small and larger quantities.
