Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this course, students will be familiar with the structure, working methods and programming languages of programmable logic controllers. They will know the different types of control systems and be able to create, test and commission programs for simple control tasks.

Lecture: 1. Basic structure of the PLC 2. Operation and operating modes of the PLC 3. Programming languages for PLC according to IEC 61131-3 4. Programming the SIMATIC S7 with STEP 7 (IL, LD, FBD) 5. Realizing logic controls 6. Function chart and GRAFCET as project planning tool for sequencial control systems 7. Using chains of steps for sequencial controls 8. Realization of sequencial controlc with the sequential function chart S7-Graph Practical course with different models: 1. Designing and programming logic controls 2. Designing and programming sequential controls with a chain of steps 3. Designing and programming sequencial controls with S7-Graph
