Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will have a basic understanding of complex functional, technical and creative aspects of design.
They will be able to synthesize complex requirements within an independent conceptual guiding idea. They will be able to apply general, integrative design skills to their chosen area of specialization and develop their own position on current context and innovation issues.

They will be able to develop and present relevant topics within their focus area in an analytical, conceptual and scientific manner.

[updated 30.07.2021]
Module content:
Complex areas of design will be dealt with in more detail in Module 1.1. Following the strategies of urban conversion, an object will be developed taking into account all relevant constraints such as architecture, building construction, building technology, ecology and economy as well as art, design and media. Conceptual and design possibilities for the architectural design of structural change will be explored.

Students can choose between the specialization areas of constructive-design and artistic-design.
