Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
30 class hours (= 22.5 clock hours) over a 15-week period.
The total student study time is 150 hours (equivalent to 5 ECTS credits).
There are therefore 127.5 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
Meteorology II
After successfully completing this module, students will be familiar with the different cloud and fog types as well as the different flight hazards that occur with each type.
Students will also be able to explain how precipitation forms, and which cloud types produce which type of precipitation.
They will also be familiar with typical weather occurrences in association with different fronts.
Students will be able to identify the different pressure systems on a surface chart.
They will be familiar with the different storm types and cold air movements from polar regions, as well as the different flight hazards in different types of weather.
Students will also be able to interpret different weather forecasts, understand weather warnings, and know the most important weather symbols for flight hazards.
