Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
30 class hours (= 22.5 clock hours) over a 15-week period.
The total student study time is 150 hours (equivalent to 5 ECTS credits).
There are therefore 127.5 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module students will: Students will be able to demonstrate the methods of scientific work by means of a term paper of 10 to 12 pages.
Students will be able to present the main findings of their work in a 15- to 20-minute presentation and defend their work in front of the other participants.

Module content:
Students will choose a topic from the catalog of elective subjects available for the degree program for both module AB571 and module AB671. At least four topics are offered each academic year in the program.
The actual range of elective subjects on offer will be determined at the beginning of the academic year.
