Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
60 class hours (= 45 clock hours) over a 15-week period.
The total student study time is 150 hours (equivalent to 5 ECTS credits).
There are therefore 105 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this submodule, students will:
 
- be familiar with the legal basis for freedom of contract and the requirements for the most important types of contracts
- understand the objectives of contract drafting
 
- analyze real sample contracts and develop the technology for drafting contracts
- know the most important negotiation techniques and be able to apply them to the objectives of the contract in role-plays
 
- structure the negotiation process and select the negotiation team
 
- be able to evaluate objectives and negotiation outcomes with regard to the agreement reached, as well as the remaining potential for conflict and general principles of legal ethics
- Freedom of contract and limitations

- Preparation of actual contract provisions on the basis of sample contracts
- Special features of general terms and conditions
- Standard clauses in contracts (e.g. form, severability clause,
