Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will: _ be able to calculate and evaluate the performance of "freie Strecken" and junctions. _ are able to design and calculate junctions controlled by traffic light signals and develop traffic signal control programs. _ be able to simulate traffic flows.

_ The theoretical / statistical principles of traffic flow. _ Calculating the performance of routes and junctions according to the Handbook for the Design of Road Traffic Facilities (HBS 2015). _ Principles of controlling intersections with traffic signal systems _ Creating a signal layout plan, calculating intergreen times, phase sequences, signal schedules, fixed-time programs _ Principles of traffic-dependent control methods, creating a control logic, green wave. Manual processing and processing using calculation programs. _ Introduction to the simulation of traffic flows using simulation software
