Learning outcomes:
Students will have mastered the four basic language skills. They will be able to hold longer, well-founded presentations in the foreign language Students will be able to take part in complex, multi-layer discussions. They will be able to use a functional vocabulary for discussions. They will be able to independently maintain and expand their own foreign language vocabulary. Students will be capable of solving tourism-specific problems in the foreign language. They will be able to solve interculturally-relevant, problematic situations.

Exercises for extemporizing in a foreign language with regard to differences in register. Register-specific writing exercises Role playing and simulations The use of technical grammar Mutual exchange regarding intercultural experiences and the students´ knowledge about different regions

Use of a multimedia computer language laboratory Use of a wide range of multimedia: television and video, radio, press, computer-based interactivity Partner work, group work and role playing _Presentations and short talks by students Presentations by the lecturer Discussions Internet research The goal is to enable authentic foreign language communication within the teaching environment.
