Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will be able to: - implement the most important academic soft skills (e.g., time management, reading skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving strategies) - use the vocabulary and structures relevant to their respective academic fields - master the pronunciation of difficult words from the field of science or acquire them - use authentic oral texts, e.g. lectures, to improve their command of the language - actively participate in international academic contexts - e.g. group discussions in English or English-oriented seminar situations - to formulate their own ideas and conceptions precisely - describe quite complex (scientific) contexts in oral form in a comprehensible and detailed manner and analyze them (in rudimentary form) - evaluate and apply basic, scientifically relevant presentation techniques - recognize and put into practice the structure of academic presentations - give a (short) presentation based on scientific principles
