90 class hours (= 67.5 clock hours) over a 15-week period. The total student study time is 180 hours (equivalent to 6 ECTS credits). There are therefore 112.5 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Students will work independently on a suitable research and development project, the results of which will be presented.

Module content:
The seminars offered cover a wide range of areas. Students will work independently on a relevant practical or theoretical engineering problem. Each student is supervised by a member of the professorial staff. Students may choose to work individually or in groups. The project may concern a problem or problems of current industrial interest or an academic topic possibly derived from current research work being done at the University of Applied Science. The project will conclude with a written final report. An oral presentation may also be required.
