Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
The total student study time for this course is 360 hours.

Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing their Bachelor Thesis students will be able to work independently on a task or project in the research and development field. The written thesis demonstrates the students’ ability to successfully work on an application-related problem from a specialized field independently using engineering methods and to present it in a structured manner within a specified timeframe.

Module content:
If possible, the thesis should be completed together with a practical partner or as part of a research project. In it, the knowledge acquired by students during their studies is to be applied to a concrete and application-oriented task. The maximum duration for the thesis is 3 months. The thesis can be written in English instead of German with the prior consent of the resp. student’s supervisor.
