Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this course, students will possess interdisciplinary, scientifically sound knowledge about social and developmental psychology, as well as health sciences. They will be able to determine child development based on various sociocultural, individual and genetic determinants. They will be able to apply their knowledge about developmental areas (social-emotional, cognitive, linguistic, motor) with reference to a child´s age and individual pace of development. They will be familiar with the conditions that promote and inhibit the development of children, especially in the context of institutional care, education and upbringing.
