Module content:
The seminar "Welcome to university: Designing participatory orientation days; Planning orientation days for first-year students in the Faculty of Social Sciences” will introduce participants to planning an orientation week. The module covers aspects of conference planning and moderation methods on the one hand and introduces basic methods on the other. The orientation days are a key element for first-year students, helping them to find their feet, get their bearings, and familiarize themselves with the specifics of their studies. During the orientation week, which is expected to take place from October 8-10, 2025, students will actively assist on these days, plan workshops with lecturers, and develop a supporting program for first-year students together with the student council. The compulsory elective seminar will start as usual in the first week of lectures in the summer semester 25. All further dates will be announced there.
