Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will be acquainted with the actual energy conversion processes in power plants. - They will be familiar with the different primary energy sources and can assess the environmental impacts and risks associated with their use. - Students will be familiar with various power plant technologies in terms of design, function and operating performance. - They will be able to assess the advantages and disadvantages of different types of power plants for different supply scenarios. - Lastly, students will be able to characterize the different types of regenerative energies.
