Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
30 class hours (= 22.5 clock hours) over a 15-week period.
The total student study time is 150 hours (equivalent to 5 ECTS credits).
There are therefore 127.5 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
BWL section
After successfully completing this module, students will be familiar with the basic concepts of business administration and will be able to describe the money and goods cycle in a company. They will have mastered the structure of the balance sheet and the profit and loss account and will be able to carry out a cash flow statement and calculate key business figures. They will be familiar with the tasks of company management and be able to describe the management process.  Students will be able to classify business objectives according to various characteristics and apply different planning methods. They will be familiar with the various organizational models and their advantages and disadvantages, and with selected legal forms as well as their most important characteristics.
 
After successfully completing this module, students will:
- be able to think in economic and especially in business-related dimensions,
- explain the central tasks of corporate management and apply analysis, planning and control instruments, and
- be able to give an overview of constitutive decisions.
 
Economics section
Students will be able to assess the money creation potential of central and commercial banks and the monetary policy measures taken by central banks to pursue macroeconomic goals.
They will be familiar with the different exchange rate systems and the effects of government intervention on the foreign exchange markets.
Students will be familiar with economic terminology, real and monetary cycle relationships and monetary systems.
