Learning outcomes:
Investment:
After successfully completing this part of the module, students will have a broad overview of the financially effective decision-making processes in companies. They will be able to explain the reasons for financing and investment transactions and the periodization of incoming and outgoing payment series In addition, they will have mastered the common methods of static and dynamic investment calculation and can apply these to operational decision situations. They will be able to compare advantageousness based on the respective prerequisites and conditions of use
 
Financing:
After successfully completing this part of the module, students will have a broad overview of the financially effective decision-making processes in companies. They will be familiar with the reasons for financing transactions and the periodization of incoming and outgoing payment series. In addition, they will be able to compare advantageousness based on the respective prerequisites and conditions of use They will be able to name the most important instruments of external and internal financing and, depending on the maturity, they will be able to tap suitable sources of equity or external financing and select them according to the situation.
Furthermore, students will be familiar with legal and tax design options and are thus able to make financing decisions in standard company situations with confidence
 
Controlling:
After successfully completing this part of the module, students will be able to explain the distinction between operational and strategic controlling. They will be able summarize the basics of budgeting. They will be able to perform single-level and multi-level contribution margin accounting. Students will be able to name and explain traditional indicator systems and will be able to generate specific indicators. Students will be able to present the structure of a balanced scorecard, build individual perspectives and explain the basics of risk management systems.
