Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
60 class hours (= 45 clock hours) over a 15-week period.
The total student study time is 150 hours (equivalent to 5 ECTS credits).
There are therefore 105 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will be familiar with five dimensions of sustainable and responsible corporate responsibility in the airline industry, in particular the German airlines, and will be able to define the contents and objectives of each dimension: They will be familiar with the concepts of economic sustainability, social responsibility, climate and environmental responsibility, corporate governance and compliance as well as corporate citizenship and will be able to illustrate them with examples. Students will document the statements of the national and international airline industry associations and develop the main topics of the aviation industry´s four-pillar strategy for climate protection.
Using the example of a German airline (Deutsche Lufthansa AG), they will examine the current status of developments and the medium and long-term planning of measures for each key topic. Students will use these results to validate whether the industry´s objective and voluntary commitment, to achieve climate-neutral growth from 2020 and a 50 percent reduction in net CO2 emissions from aviation by 2050 compared to 2005, is realistic.
