Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
60 class hours (= 45 clock hours) over a 15-week period.
The total student study time is 150 hours (equivalent to 5 ECTS credits).
There are therefore 105 hours available for class preparation and follow-up work and exam preparation.

Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will be able to:
- describe the basics of handling business processes with ERP systems
  and demonstrate the data-technical connections,
- carry out business processes with SAP ERP,
- describe knowledge management systems (technologies, processes and methods),
- use a wiki for companies,
- analyze and formulate requirements for business information systems,
- agree in a group on the prioritization of requirements,
- use knowledge management systems within a company for requirements analysis,
- draw up a list of specifications and requirements,
- implement given case studies in the system or in HTML as click prototypes.

Module content:
1 Enterprise Resource Planning with SAP
Principles of ERP systems. Purchasing, sales and production business processes. Implementation of the processes based on an example.
   
2 Knowledge management systems and new media
Basic concepts, knowledge cycle, processes and methods of knowledge management, content management systems, groupware, workflow management systems, Internet search technologies, HTML, Web 2.0, wikis, blogs, social networks.
   
3 Requirements analysis
Basics of requirements engineering, classification of requirements, quality criteria, process models and standards, requirements and functional specifications.

Teaching methods/Media:
Integrated lab with independent work on the PC. Business management-oriented tasks and case studies will be implemented directly with the help of special software (e. g. SAP ERP, Media Wiki). E-learning tools will also be used. Group work to develop a requirements analysis.
Use of new learning methods, such as learning team coaching.
