Learning outcomes:
The modules English 1, 2 and 3 should be viewed as a unit. Over the course of these three modules, students should improve their proficiency in vocational English from the assumed entry level B1 to level B2 of the Common European Framework.

The emphasis in this module is on written communication and the course therefore focuses on written skills. The ‘English 2’ module aims to teach and develop the skills that students will require for written communication with colleagues and business partners in English-speaking countries or where English is being used to bridge the language gap.

The course also covers job application letters as a special form of written communication and addresses the job application process including the applicant’s CV or resume and the job interview. Language acquisition is supported and supplemented by reviewing relevant grammar structures and special features of the language, some of which is carried out by the students during periods of self-directed study.
